A minority white Andalusian variety. IFAPA (the Andalusian Institute for Agricultural Research and Training) lists it among the four Andalusian varieties of the MINORVIN project, which aims to recover 51 native minority varieties that are more resistant to downy mildew, drought and climate change, and its Rancho de la Merced centre (Jerez de la Frontera) studies its oenological properties. In February 2024 IFAPA presented in Jerez wines from the 2023 vintage of minority Andalusian varieties, including a white Indiana. Juan Jurado (Agrícola Calcárea) works with it among the recovered varieties of the Jerez area.
