Listán Prieto

Present only sporadically on all the islands; it spreads most around Vilaflor (Tenerife) and appears mainly in high areas. It corresponds to the Mission grape grown in the Americas. Because of its scarcity and its resemblance to Listán Negro there are many homonyms, but it is not the same variety. In Andalusia it was thought extinct and IFAPA has identified it again in Moguer (Huelva), where it tends to give wines of high colour intensity and good acidity (Cretazzo et al., BIO Web of Conferences 56, 2023).
