Fogoneu ^[[Favà]]

A native Balearic vine and grape, documented in 1871 and 1877, with small, tight bunches and round black berries. It produces a lot of red wine, but of poor quality, and is not good for eating. Coromines suggests the name has nothing to do with fire, but instead derives from an Occitan form related to the bean or pulse, for the size and shape of the berries.
