Cartoixà ^[[Favà]]

A golden white grape, documented since 1871 in the Camp de Tarragona, Menorca and the Conca de Barberà, with large, tight bunches, sweet and very productive according to an 1890 ampelographer. Older sources give it as a synonym of xarel·lo and of pansalet. The Diccionari català-valencià-balear links the name to the Scala Dei charterhouse, in the context of vines spreading through monasteries.
