Burrablanca

Not widely planted on any island. It is the Airén variety, the most planted in La Mancha, although in the Canary Islands it is not known by that name; on El Hierro some vines have been found under the name Torrontés (a homonym). Medium-large bunch, medium ripening. No single-variety wines are made in the Canary Islands; its wines would be neutral, low in acidity and prone to oxidation, so it suits blending better. In La Mancha it yields much more than in the Canary Islands.
