Bastardo Blanco

Also called Baboso Blanco. Found only in token amounts in a few places in Tenerife and on El Hierro; practically unknown in the Canary Islands, although it is among the authorised varieties. Molecular analyses show its great similarity to Portugal's Budelho; it is unrelated to Baboso Negro or Bastardo Negro. Small bunch (about 91 g), medium ripening, good health. It has not been vinified, but its parameters are very interesting and it could be the basis of great wines.
