Lledoner ^[[Favà]]

Empordà name for Garnacha, documented in 1775 (lledoner vermell, in Sant Pere Molanta) and in 1845. It exists in black, white, pink and grey subvarieties, with large, compact bunches. The etymology proposed by Joan Veny derives it from the demonym of Lledó d'Empordà (today Lladó), a place with a priory and a wine-growing area; in the Languedoc the lledoner pelut is preserved.
